It's been six intensely focused months since I first launched the "fail-forward" project that is MiE Designs Shop. By the way, "MiE" is pronounced "me," although I'm sure it will be pronounced, "M. I. E.," "My E," "Me Yay" and any number of variations. For a long time, the struggle of keeping my head even with the water had prevented me from following up on starting a site on Shopify, and this pandemic had thrown a monkey wrench into my ability to seriously undertake any kind of insurance sales prospecting activities. Even the existing accounts were off limits; remote education with advance notice didn't seem to create attendance and interest was sparse at best. I found myself schlepping food more than I cared to admit, yet every other waking moment found me at the computer, trying to figure out how to select the best products and feature them in ways that consumers would appreciate.
